What is "Green Build"?
There are four main issues concerning the environment surrounding construction sites that have seemingly gone unaddressed: air pollution, soil and water contamination and noise pollution.
Turanair has found that numerous dangerous chemicals are emitted from jobsite generators and compressors. These chemicals are being dispersed and circulated into the earth's atmosphere, thereby ruining its ozone each day, as well as significantly affecting peoples health. This pollution is occurring in extremely high numbers and at an alarming rate.
FACT: The Numbers are Astounding...In the U.S., there are approximately 1.5million new"Residential" homes built each year. Of these 1.5 million new homes, gas powered generators and compressors will emit 12,000 Tons of Carbon Monoxide/482 Tons of Hydrocarbons and Oxides of Nitrogen PER DAY!

SOIL AND WATER CONTAMINATION:
Generator and compressor oil changes take place everyday on construction sites around the world. This oil is very often dispoed of incorrectly and not according to EPA standards. Example: During every 40 hours of work use, a couple quarts of oil are dumped into the ground where the generator or compressor sits, and the worker will simple cover it up with dirt. Neither oil nor oil filters are bio-degradable! With the amount of oil leaked into the land just to build our homes, it could equal a "Massive Oil Spill".
Controlling construction noise can pose special problems for contractors. Much of the noise from construction is caused by generators and compressors. These noises have been found to be responsible for causing a great deal of ill effects and fatigue in workers and other individuals within the surrounding area.
